Hi! My name is Jennifer Jenkinson, and I’m a teacher at Chippewa P. S. A former student of mine, Aidryan Reyes, was afflicted with a rare syndrome called Behcet’s disease in March. He has been in the children’s hospital since that time. His parents had to leave work and have been by his bedside 24/7. This sweet family came to Canada two years ago. All of their family is in the Phillipines. Miraculously, Aidryan has survived but is now at Bloorview in Toronto for rehabilitation. Only one parent can stay with him for free. The other has to pay. They do not own a vehicle so driving back and forth from London to Toronto isn’t an option. The funds raised will allow Aidryan’s father, Ryan, to stay with his wife, Aiden, to support Aidryan through his anticipated three months of severe rehabilitation.
