Help me help a deserving young man

Hey folks, it's Randy Fortner here reaching out to you for some help. I have a passion for helping young adults and have become committed to a young man that I am very impressed by and close to. He is a great student, very intelligent, self motivated, and well mannered young man. He is a junior in high school and is in need of a car to get to school, football practice and ultimately to work. He lives with his single mom and 15 y/o brother. They have very little beyond basic necessities, but it is a loving home which means he is fortunate. He is remarkable under the circumstances but struggles with confidence and simply needs a hand up. I have been helping him for about a year now with some basics like car rides, clothes, football cleats and gloves, shoes, food, etc. I also was able to buy a 2007 Camry about a year ago for him to be able to get to work over the summer and attend football practice. His mom works and just can't always get him where he needs to be with his schedule. Unfortunately, the picture you see in this GoFundMe account is the Camry that was totaled on his way to work at the end of May (nothing other than an unfortunate left hand turn, most of us have been there). I had provided the car and 12 months of liability coverage to allow him a chance to work and save up funds for gas and insurance going forward.

So, I am reaching out to all of you (most of which have probably given me a hand up or help at some point in my life) to help me help a deserving young man. I am raising funds to get him a decent used car that will get him through high school and off to college. I am fully confident that he can take it from there. He is 4.0 student and has a good head on his shoulders and just maybe he is learning a work ethic and some life lessons from a old guy that can't give up on a survivor.

I'm committed to matching the first $3500 donated and providing another 12 months of insurance coverage. In our world today the lack of transportation can be a major contributor to a person's lack of success in school, work and financial stability.
