Help Ukrainian Refugees in USA
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Svetlana (Lana) Sorina.
My fellow Americans, Worshipers, Colleagues, Neighbors and Friends.
Many of you have expressed concerns about my family and how you could help them. So, while my husband and I are providing a room, food, clothing, and other essentials, we hope that with the help of this GoFundMe campaign, we can raise enough money to cover a portion of all the other expenses we know will be required. These expenses will include transportation such as a vehicle for my sister to drive to a place of work, to a place of worship, doctors, school, etc. Governmental application fees, medical needs, vaccinations, etc.
We would really appreciate your generous donations toward the goal. This way, everyone can donate any amount that will help. “There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving” (Acts 20:35).

On February 24th of 2022 in the middle of the night, millions of peaceful people living in Ukraine woke up to air raid alerts, shelling, and bombing as the Russian Federation began a massive war in the middle of Europe against the independent country of Ukraine. This unprovoked attack was an attack on the democracy of Ukraine, as well as freedom of speech, religion, movement within Ukraine, and so much more.
Many families, including women and their children, the elderly, sick and disabled people, etc., were forced to uproot their lives and were displaced across Western Europe to look for a Safe haven. Some members of my family did the same. They left their home in early March of 2022 and fled to Poland.
The government of the United States recently opened up its borders to help Ukrainian refugees, “Uniting for Ukraine” . So, my husband, Yuri, and I decided to do anything possible to help my family displaced in Poland and bring them into the United States. Thankfully, my sister Antonina with her daughter, Anastasiia, arrived here in the United States on the Memorial weekend of 2022. We are so happy that they are here. It was not an easy road for them to get here, but now we know that they are safe.
