Hello everyone I am fundraising for my niece, her husband and their 3 daughters one of which the youngest is a non verbal autistic who lost everything this morning in a devastating house fire in Greenport just one week before Christmas. Every worldly possession that comes from making a life of over 20 years together as a family. Thankfully they were all able to get out of the house safely but unfortunately lost all 4 of their beloved fur babies..4 family cats. To compound the devastation of losing everything they did not have renters insurance so sadly there are no funds to replace any of their possessions. My niece and her husband are both hardworking, prideful and private individuals so asking for any help is extremely difficult for them but they are suffering tremendously right now and any bit of help would be extremely appreciated in their time of need. My niece is the daughter of a local family whose mom Denise Near worked in the Hudson Post Office and dad, Ronald Near, worked for many years as head custodian at Ichabod Crane schools.

I understand times are difficult for alot of folks right now especially with the holiday season upon us but if you can find it in your hearts to donate to this family who only yesterday, like so many of us, were planning for Christmas, with presents wrapped and under the tree, to waking up this morning having lost it all, they would be extremely grateful.
