Duane Saum, Saum Engineering, WIchita, Kansas has had a stroke and he‘s going to need our help. A week ago Saturday night he experienced severe chest pains and drove himself to the hospital. They did a heart cath and found a blocked artery. They opened the artery and he felt much better on Sunday. Monday morning while still in the hospital he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. A hemorrhagic stroke is either a brain aneurysm burst or a weakened blood vessel leak. Blood spills around the brain and creates swelling and pressure, damaging cells and tissue in the brain. Duane is conscious but paralyzed on his right side and can’t talk. He’ll need to go through physical, occupational, and speech therapy which will all take time. Duane will need time to heal but his bills won’t take a break and this will be a huge financial burden. He needs to focus on his recovery and we need to focus on helping him take care of the ongoing expenses not covered by insurance.
All of you who know Duane know that he gave us his time to balance an engine, fabricate a bracket, assemble an engine and on and on. Duane served in Viet Nam with the 1st Air Cavalry, 7th Airmobile, Charlie company, one of the most decorated combat divisions of the Army. Now it’s our turn to take our time to help him. Duane has a difficult time ahead of him and we get the easy job by contributing a few dollars to pay his bills. It’s a very simple process by going to Go Fund Me online and click and give. All donations will be greatly appreciated and please get word to all who know Duane to help him get through this very difficult time.
