Hi there, my name is Sherry. I'm a single mother, 28 weeks into my pregnancy, and I have six wonderful children—Lavonne, Sean, Janea, Deziray, Legacy, and Legend. I'm extremely proud of them as they are all incredibly intelligent and hardworking, excelling as straight-A students in school!

Recently, I lost my job as a bartender due to employer malpractice and wrongful termination. As a result, I am now facing eviction by the end of October. I have exhausted all avenues with public assistance to secure housing, but the wait list is so long, it won't serve my family any help. I am passionate about the hospitality industry and had a successful career as a bartender. However, being in the advanced stages of my pregnancy, I am struggling to land bartending interviews. Currently, I'm working at a minimum wage job at a gas station, but it's not enough to sustainably provide for my family.

I love the community my family has grown roots in. My children love their school and are thriving. I have regular customers from my bartending career that have become like family. I will do everything to not uproot my family to a new location.

I am not one to ask for help, but I am determined to do whatever it takes to provide my children with the life they deserve.
