Protect Victims of Sexual Abuse

On April 8th, a bill is being introduced to the California Senate Public Safety Committee. Before the hearing, the senator will hold a press conference to discuss why this bill is important.
Why is it important? The bill is to exclude sex offenders from early parole through California's elderly parole law. Victims are being forced into reliving their worst experiences just to keep their perpetrator in prison. This is re-traumatizing victims and putting criminals FIRST. This also means that sex offenders are being released back into the communities where they could potentially re-offend and harm MORE CHILDREN.
The press conference will shed some light on the effects this has had on victims and their families. In order to do this, I want victims to be present to share their stories and have the opportunity to support the bill during the hearing. The more support, the better! This means having them travel to Sacramento with no added stress, since the conference and hearing will be stressful in itself.
ALL funds will be used for travel expenses, lodging expenses, car-pooling, etc. for victims, their families, and supporters from all over.
We want the California Public Safety Committee to PASS MARY BELLA'S LAW SB 286/AB 47 (Assembly bill to be introduced later) to keep victims safe, and our communities.
Attached are some videos of offenders who this law applies to unless the law gets passed to exclude them.
