Draper Arms Staff Welfare

Many lovely people have been in touch with the pub to ask about buying vouchers or other ways to support staff.  Hospitality is an intimate alchemy between customers and staff and many of the team at the Drapers have been working there for years,  many of our beloved customers have been coming for years too.  The next few months look very uncertain and difficult for the sector and all of the people who work in hospitality.  It will be difficult across many other sectors and age groups – the NHS workers and elderly especially come to mind – and many people will be short of cash and facing an uncertain future so this is no special pleading.  However, a number of people have asked how they can help and so this is a route for them to do so.  This fund will be managed by Gaida the Drapers GM to help mitigate any staff financial hardship.  If you do want to chip in a little something, maybe even just the service charge on the bill you would have had for a recent cancelled booking, then you are already going above and beyond and when we re-open your kindness will likely earn you a special treat from the kitchen or cheeky glass off bill when Nick isn’t looking.
