Volunteering in Kenya - Me to We
Donation protected
Dear Family & Friends,
We have been given the opportunity to do some good in another part of the world, but we need your help to make it a reality. Me to We along with Free the Children are hosting a week long volunteer program in Kenya centralized around their 5 core pillars to end the cycle of poverty, which we are planning to partake in.
The Free the Children five core pillars to ending poverty include: Education, Water and Sanitation, Health, Alternative Income and Livelihood, and Agriculture and Food Security. Each of these projects serves to enhance the other, ensuring the greatest overall impact in each area of intervention, and achieving long-term sustainability.
My big muscles and Riley's ability to take advice will be put to the test, during our week long project of building a school. The school we build will be a place where children will be taught habits of healthy homes, business skills, and how increased farming output enhances healthcare, alternative income and food security. We will also be meeting with Mama’s who have started their own small business to ensures the community has the means to repair water projects, pay school fees, support medical projects, and re-invest into farms – all of which enhances the sustainability of water & sanitation, education, medical and food security.
Although our target goal is high, we know that it is achievable with the help and support of our family and friends. No contribution is too small!
All money raised will be used solely for the volunteer portion of this trip. All additional costing outside of volunteer costs, i.e. flights, shots, insurance, etc will be paid independently.
If you have any questions about this trip or where the money is going, please feel free to contact either of us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity.
Kas & Riley
