Owen's Soccer Program in Kenya!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Owen Rubio-Heeney. I’m a soccer player and I head off to play soccer at SUNY Oneonta this coming fall. For my spring break I have a chance to go to Kenya and run some soccer clinics and tournaments for poor kids in the slums and villages in Kenya. I went last year and saw a lot of things that taught me what survival and hope truly are. I saw how soccer is super beneficial to these kids and the life lessons it teaches them. This year I want to build a strong program and I need your help. I am raising $2500.00 to provide sports equipment and food and health supplies to the schools and communities in the Kibera slum and village schools of Kisumu.
I leave for Kenya in two weeks! I'm extremely lucky to be going on a service trip with Move to Empower (M2E), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Thank you in advance for making this trip a reality.
