Owen James Crawford was born October 2nd 2020. Jeremy and I have waited for this blessing for 15 years! I found out I was pregnant with our first and only child early January 2020! Super excited!! Then Covid hit...Doctors appointments restricted, FaceTimed ultrasounds, prepping for baby while Jeremy sits in the car. Finally our 20 week ultrasound and Jeremy was allowed to attend...We’re having a BOY!!! But...our little boy was found to have a congenital heart defect and a cleft lip?? They said...he’s not going to make it to the birth. A diagnosis thrown at us at the appointment to inform us that Owen had no future. We were Devastated!!! 2 weeks went by and we were contacted to meet with a Pediatric Cardiologist. Finding out Owen was GROSSLY misdiagnosed. A thousand specialist visits after...A TON of Genetic Testing...Alone...Owen was finally diagnosed with complex cardiac defects...Tetrology of Fallot. This would require him to have open heart surgery to correct the defects. A Chance at Life!!! Our little bundle of joy will be faced with becoming a Heart Warrior. We ask if nothing else please pray for Owen as he faces his upcoming surgery in April. After correcting his heart defects, he will have corrective surgery for his cleft lip and tongue tie as well.  Thank you all for being a part of Owen’s story, not only being born into Covid, but facing his own challenges as well. He’s such a trooper through all of his MANY appointments now and will need all the thoughts and prayers he can get now.
