Owain’s fundraiser for stroke Association
Hi,
On May 18th, I will be running a half marathon in Chester with my girlfriend to honour my nan, who tragically passed away a few months after suffering a stroke. This race is a tribute to the amazing woman she was, and I am running to raise funds for the Stroke Association in her memory.
My nan was a truly special person — loving, funny, and always proud of me. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her smile and feel valued. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. After her stroke, she fought so hard, but ultimately, we lost her. I want to do something meaningful to keep her memory alive, and running this race in her honor is my way of giving back.
The money raised through this fundraiser will go directly to the Stroke Association, a charity that supports stroke prevention, research, and the care of those affected by stroke. I’m hoping to raise funds that will make a real difference for others who are impacted by stroke, just as my nan was.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will help me reach my goal to support the incredible work of the Stroke Association.
Thank you so much for your support. This run is for my nan, and I truly appreciate your help in making a difference.
