Ovid Survives Fire at 1400 Bathurst St

He's my best friend and has been for over 30 years and when I found out what happened I couldn't believe how lucky I was to still have him around! If you live around St Clair, you know him - he drives his Scooter while playing his tunes, before he had a Scooter, he would play them on his bike :)

On Tues May 23 at 4:00, Ovid woke up to get ready for work and heard a noise, he then noticed that a fire had started in his apartment. He rushed to get the fire extinguisher, but when the blazes were too much, he got a hose and tried his best to fend off the fire until firefighters arrive. He was taken to hospital and remained overnight but thankfully has suffered no physical injuries.

He has however lost almost everything he owns and this comes at a time where his beloved Cathy who usually lives with him is also currently in hospital.

If you don't know this guy and you live on St Clair, you haven't met the friendliest Jamaican guy around. He is a joker, and will help anyone in a bind no questions ask.

Now hopefully everyone can do the same, please give what you can. He is currently residing with his amazing neighbours who have taken him in while his apartment is rebuilt.

The funds raised will help Ovid get back on his own two feet, as he continues to work and visit his wife daily he will need some help to make sure he doesn't fall behind with necessities.

I have set this up so it is going directly to his bank account :)
