Updated Outdoor Space & Storage Shed

Did you know in 2023 roughly half of Americans have trouble finding childcare, and 27% of them say it’s because there are not enough open childcare slots. As a result, two thirds of parents in the U.S. have very few – often only one – childcare options.

Our little town of Elizabeth is fortunate to provide an option for parents! Little Learners Academy has been open to families in the Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy building since 2020 and their mission is to provide high quality childcare in a rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity. They are a tuition only based childcare program with the majority of funds going to pay staff wages and the remaining portion is stretched to cover anything and everything including supplies, arts and crafts along with maintenance or toys. They currently do not receive state or federal funds.

Little Learner's Academy is having the construction trades class at the Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy build an outdoor shed to store all of their outdoor toys with hopes it will be completed before winter. This GoFundMe will also cover an updated outdoor play space in the spring with a shaded area near the playset, mulch and other much needed landscaping to reduce mud.

Lee and I would like to show our support for the all of their efforts for the care they provide to our families. This is our way of saying a huge THANK-YOU to having Little Learner's Academy as a daycare and after care facility as there are few and far between in our little town. They provide such great care for the kids and any type of donation or SHARING of this GoFundMe would help us reach our goal, along with showing support as a community.
