Greetings all! My name is Gobind Singh, and I am a sophomore STEM academy! My path of humbleness began at an early age, when a community center opened in the area. It was then that I learned that I wanted to aid our Chester County (Pa) community for the rest of my life. At this age, I would pack sandwiches for homeless shelters, distribute food boxes to all visitors, and spend countless hours making sure the community center was clean and lively for everyone to enjoy! Throughout my adolescence, helping my community with a thriving non profit has been my goal, and I searched for a topic that I was passionate about and a topic that was not spoken about frequently. The Corona Virus Pandemic has eradicated support and safety and health of hundreds of individuals, and I knew something had to be done. It started with 450 face shields, and blossomed into over 3000 total PPE (protective equipment) for the Chester County community.

Through the support of our community,  this what what the Downingtown Community aided me in doing:
Together as Downingtown, we have donated over  3400 MEDICAL GRADE masks
Together as Downingtown, we have donated over 1600 face shields
Together as Downingtown, we have donated over 1000 cards to our elderly and frontline workers
Together as Downingtown, we have donated over 624 cans to food banks
I cannot thank you all enough for supporting me, but I need your support once again.


Where all of your support will be used:
-medical grade masks for our essential workers and staff
-supplies to create homemade face shields for hospitals and nursing homes
-cards for the elderly to enjoy and stay happy with in our quarantine 
-hundreds of food cans which will donated to lord's pantry or Chester County food bank (etc.)
-foundations who have set up emergency funds (red cross etc.)
