Our Volunteer Trip
Thank you for visiting our gofundme account. Our hopes is you will feel as we do about spreading the love of soccer and teaching life and living skills to those less financially fortunate but just as full of love and human kindness. Our trip (July 3 to July 18) takes us to the island of Jamaica to work with an organization called BREDS. Breds is a community based organization led by stakeholders from a cross-section of the community including a fisherman, principal, a guest house operator, a shop owner, villa owner and a hotelier to name a few.
We are tasked with not just teaching the game of soccer, but teaching sportsmanship and sharing how athletics and life and living skills go hand in hand. For those of you that know us, it is what we have been doing in the USA for years and years. We have come across this organization that shares our similar ideals and will join with them for a series of soccer camps over a 2 week period.
Our hopes, through your donations, are to have enough funds to take a new soccer ball, a jersey and a backsack to give to each participant in the camp. We are told there are about 50 youth participants. The biggest expense will be getting the items onto the island, thru customs and of course the import duties charged for this.
We ask that you share our information with your friends, relatives and business owners and encourage them to help this be a successful trip and handshake between us and BREDS.
Thank you!
