Our YCore fundraiser
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Back in May, we applied to be Fellows with YCore, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco. YCore's mission is to recruit, vet, train and connect young professionals and volunteers to undertake impactful projects with non-profit organizations in their communities. We were accepted into the fellowship and since, have attended workshops over the past few months, honing our skills in nonprofit consulting, advocacy and social change.
Over these past few months, our team - Alyssa Chen, Nicole Kim, Gita Venkat, Cece Chu, and Sonalika Reddi - has been working on a pro bono consulting project for Because Justice Matters, a small nonprofit in the Tenderloin in San Francisco, whose mission is serving women and girls living in the Tenderloin. Our team is developing a marketing and fundraising strategy for Because Justice Matters, in order to bring more light to the dance classes they teach young girls, the spa days for homeless women and girls, and the advocacy work they do with women working in the adult entertainment industry.
To continue the amazing capacity building projects for nonprofits like Because Justice Matters, we are asking for you to support us in giving back to YCore to enable more young professionals to lend their skillsets to local nonprofits. YCore has a very lean team that operates on donations like yours to train and support consulting teams like ours and it is precisely this community-based work that we believe in. Additionally, Sonalika will **DOUBLE** your donation via her company's employee matching program - as the company officially matches 100% of all donations to YCore - ,so you effectively will be donating DOUBLE the amount to YCore. (We're happy to send receipts of this as well - let us know if you'd like this confirmation).
We thank you so much for reading thus far and supporting YCore - a fantastic organization we wholeheartedly believe in, that is working hard to support local organizations in the Bay Area through critical social impact consulting projects.
In times like this, with COVID-19 weakening our bodies and racial injustice weakening our bonds, we think we can all use a little bit of community, a little bit of heart, and a little bit of hope. Thank you so much for your support.
