Hello, my name is Crystal Dalman and I have started this fundraiser for my brother-in-law Dean Doyle and sister Tami Doyle.
Dean went into the hospital for a surgery in April of this year and woke up to the worst news one could be told. "You have terminal cancer." He has since been fighting the fight to gain time with his loved ones, with my sister and nieces at his side 24/7.
The treatments have taken their toll on Dean's body, and he is tired. He continues to fight for more time, not ready to go, having so much life left to live with his family. It's simply not fair. Not fair for anyone. The last thing Dean should be thinking of is the financial stress this has put on his family, though this is a big worry for him, as it would be for all of us. Dean having cancer in his twenties, was unable to get insurance, which leaves them without that support today, during the most devastating time of their lives. Both Dean and Tami have been unable to work since the diagnosis. My wish is that we can relieve some of that burden for Dean. He has recently been moved to palliative care, where he is surrounded by love, positive thoughts and medical professionals doing their best to help him. Dean and Tami have been together since they were teenagers, meeting over forty years ago. They became grandparents for the first time, two weeks before receiving this diagnosis. They should be enjoying this chapter of their lives with their granddaughter Wren, healthy and happy. Wren has been the most beautiful blessing during this heartbreaking time, bringing joy and light to the darkness. Dean's (Pop's) little angel. My hope is with removing some of the worry, they can focus on this precious time together.
Many people ask how they can help, and like myself feel helpless knowing there are no words or magic wands to make this go away. Dean's cancer has metastasized and sadly is very aggressive. Any amount will be received with gratitude, appreciation and love.
When I mentioned doing a gofundme page to my sister, she said no, so I left it alone. But I know she would be the first person to do it for someone in their position. Tami, Dean, Kayla, Megan and family always show up to fundraising events, having helped raise a lot towards cancer, heart, stroke...and will continue to. This is the reason I have decided to move forward with this fundraiser and ask for help in supporting them now.
Please keep sending positive thoughts and prayer, these are felt and mean the World to the family xo
