Supported by Mr Adu, Teacher of Science and STEM Co-ordinator and Mr Hands, Teacher of ICT/Computer Science at Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School, our Robotics Club has set themselves a goal to raise up to £3000 with the aim of participating in the FIRST TECH UK Championship final on the 26th and 27th of June.
To enable our pupils to participate in the competition, we are asking for your support to raise funds to cover these costs:
- Overnight accommodation in London as day 1 of the event will run up till 8:30pm and the next day starts at 8am
- Travel
- Refreshments including lunch and dinner on day 1 and breakfast and lunch on day 2
- Purchasing of additional parts to improve on our existing
Based on the feedback from our last regional competition, we are going to improve our current robot which was built by our pupils.
Any extra funds raised will be allocated to the next robotics season which starts at the end of September.
Fundraising and creating awareness in our local community are among the criteria that will be assessed by the judges.
