Let’s Rise, Let’s Roam! Another Big Challenge to Make a Difference

Hello everyone!

We’re back with another adventure! After our incredible walk to London, which raised an amazing £2,311 (plus more from Kai’s Celebration of Life party), Rise & Roam are ready to push ourselves even further — and this time, we’re not stopping until Somerset!

This challenge will see myself (Garry), Chris, and our newest teammate, Bailey Painter, cycle an epic 251 miles from Norwich to Somerset — and to make it even tougher (and more fun), we’re doing it on BMX bikes! That means no gears, smaller wheels, and a much bigger test of grit and determination.

Why do we do this?

At Rise & Roam, we believe in rebuilding lives, finding inner strength, and discovering who we really are by facing tough, uncomfortable situations — but doing so safely, and together. It’s about vulnerability, brotherhood, and pushing each other to go further than we ever thought possible.

We’ve seen how powerful this can be: creating spaces and days out where men can come together, open up, support one another, and build bonds that last. This isn’t just about a bike ride — it’s about raising awareness and funds to help even more people join us on this journey.

What’s the goal?

We’re aiming to raise £3,500 to:

✅ Take more lads out on meaningful, fun days away

✅ Keep building safe, supportive spaces for men to connect

✅ Show what’s possible when we stand together

We’re keeping this fundraiser open so we can look back and see the total amount raised over time — a true testament to the amazing support from all of you.
