Recently, our mom was detained by ICE while simply showing up to work on a regular day. She is currently being held in Nebraska, where she lives with my little brother (who is still a minor) and my dad.Our mom has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and raised us in the Bay Area, where my little sister and I (her eldest daughters) still live. She is the heart of our family. We are raising funds to help cover her legal fees as well as bond and begin the process of bringing her home. Our dad is unable to work right now due to the increased immigration raids happening in their area, which has made things even more difficult. Both of our parents are incredibly hardworking, and it’s heartbreaking to see them go through this. We haven’t been able to speak to our mom since she was detained, and we’re doing everything we can to support her and stay strong as a family.
