Last Summer, we visited the Dominican Republic with my family. Before visiting, we envisioned clear waters and palm trees when we thought of the Dominican Republic. While we found both to be true, we were unaware of how much of the country lived in poverty. While there, we had the privilege of meeting several local families and bonded with their children. When we got back home, we began thinking about ways we could help these families and children that do not have access to resources to meet their everyday needs. After doing some research, we decided to go on a mission trip this Summer with Boldhope. Boldhope is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire HOPE by connecting and empowering people to transform lives worldwide. We will travel to Santo Domingo, the poorest area in the Dominican Republic. While there, we will volunteer in schools, churches, and orphanages and teach various recreational activities. We hope you will help us reach our goal of the expenses required for this mission trip. Any additional funds will be donated to the organization to further its mission. Anything is appreciated.
