Our miracle Wesley

Hey friends for those that don’t know me
im Katie Lichty and Kayla has been my nanny for 6 years. She is so much more than that, she is our daughter, sister, friend, a mama to our girls, and keeps us sane everyday! She is our life and we love her more than we could ever express. Our hearts are broken that she and Christian are going through this but we know God Will get them through and protect our sweet Wesley. If anyone can help them get through the days and months ahead i will forever be grateful!!  Below is from Christian. ❤️❤️❤️
Hey, everyone. For those who don't know. Wesley is here! He was born on Friday at 16:05.
After Kayla spiking some fevers on Thursday, Wesley poorly tolerating contractions, and a large amount of meconium present after her water broke, it was the recommendation of the Providers that she have a C-section on Friday. After the C-section, he was immediately sent to the NICU at Greenville Memorial. He was septic, aspirated some meconium, and not very responsive. That evening he was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Vessels (TGV). It was the recommendation of the Neonatologist and Pediatric Cardiologist that he be flown to MUSC for surgery of his TGV. I drove down here to MUSC early yesterday morning to be with Wesley. Kayla is set to be discharged from Greenville Memorial today and will come down to Charleston tomorrow. He is very, very sick and unstable at this point. He has been on the ventilator, but has had some improvement with oxygenation. He has had fairly, labile blood pressures which he has been on drips to regulate.
The goal is for him to be stabilized respiratory wise so that they can perform the open-heart surgery to fix his TGV. It is anticipated to be down here for the next month or so.
Prayer requests:
1) God’s will be done and He be glorified.
2) that Wesley will be healed.
3) that Kayla will recover quickly as well
We are so thankful for all the prayers and support by our families, our amazing church family, and friends who have gotten accommodations, meals, phone/video calls, and sent encouraging texts/verses. There is an amazing team her at MUSC taking care of him. We are so thankful! The Lord knitted Wesley and knows him perfectly. We want his will to be done with Wesley’s life.
