On August 4th at 5:25 a.m., our beloved mother, Sophan Sean, passed away from end-stage liver cirrhosis. She was a survivor of the Cambodian genocide—a woman of extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. After enduring the unimaginable under the Khmer Rouge regime, she immigrated to Canada in 1986 as a landed immigrant, seeking safety and a better life for her family.

Though she made Canada her home, her heart always remained tied to Cambodia. Sadly, she was never able to return to her homeland.

We are now raising funds to cover the cost of her cremation and related expenses, including family travel and memorial arrangements to honor her life and legacy.
