As many of you know I’ve committed myself to feeding the less fortunate at least once a week, I do this by packing snack packs filled with handmade sandwiches, crackers/cookies,a fruit, bottle of water, a sweet, essentials such as hand sanitizers, wipes, female products, diapers etc & most importantly a hand written note from the heart! I pack the “snack packs” & hand them out to anyone in need, on the train, in the park, the shelter, the platform & the corner of every street ... if you’re a New Yorker you know what I mean!
Everywhere we turn there’s someone in need... a wise man ( my dad) once said... don’t judge what you don’t understand! That message plays on repeat, & extra loud with a base when people say “ but why do you do that they are druggies, crackheads, they chose this life, junkies,alcoholics, ewww gross” regardless of how & why... it’s not my place to judge them the same way it’s not my place to judge ANYONE for why they do what they do or live the way they do... all I know is what I can DO VS what society thinks “they” could have or should have done different”, I choose to leverage my privilege by spreading the love & hunainty that human beings deserve!

According to the 2017 Homeless Count in Hillsborough County, on any given night there are at least 1,549 homeless men, women, and children in Tampa-Hillsborough County. These are people who are sleeping on the streets, behind buildings, in encampments, in cars, emergency shelters and transitional housing.
