Hi Family and Friends, Gilbert and I have been married for almost 7 wonderful years. We always knew we wanted a family and that one day God would bless us. However pretty early on in our marriage we came to the realization that becoming pregnant naturally would be very difficult for us due to several infertility complications. This was heartbreaking and difficult to understand but we tried to take it all in stride. Thank God for all our beautiful God kids to get us through. I was then diagnosed with thyroid cancer and that turned our world upside down for a bit. Due to my treatment we asboultley could not get pregnant for a year and a half because of residual radiation. This was another blow for us but again we had to trust in God's plan. We then made the courageous decision to pursue invitrofertilization (IVF). This is an extensive medical process consisting of weeks of hormone shots, medications, ultrasounds, blood work, procedures and assumingly much emotional, spiritual, financial and physical stress. We have been saving money and planning for this exciting journey in our life which starts in Septmeber!! A typical IVF cycle can run on average $25,000 to $30,000. Thankfully we are fortunate with health insurance but our out of pocket is approximately $12,000 - $15,000. We are asking for donations at this time. Anything helps in our journey for our beautiful baby Alvarado!! I know 2020 has been difficult for everyone so please do not feel any pressure. If you cannot donate, we would appreciate prayers and all the positivity as this is going to be a roller-coaster of a ride. We appreciate all the support and love you all so much.
