Our International Educators

Hi, my name is Ann Berljafa and I am fundraising for the dozens of International Educators from the Philippines, Zimbabwe, South Africa, China and other countries , who have recently come to work in our schools. We are so excited that these trained educators have dedicated the next couple of years of their lives to immerse themselves into American lifestyles and our American Schools! Many of them, however, have had a rough start as they have not had furnished housing waiting for them. Additionally, they are having to walk to their school sites as the local bus routes are not designed for drop offs at many of our local schools.

Fortunately, many of these 20+ educators are now living together locally in apartments, however, many do not have basic furnishings. This fundraiser is designed to provide funding for these educators to purchase basic necessities such as beds, bedding, kitchen items such as, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, etc. and living area items such as couches, chairs, tables and lamps.

I'm sure you will join me in wanting to welcome these educators with open arms to the Bay Area by helping out! Funds raised will be used to purchase the items mentioned above. These funds will continue to support our International Educators as needs arise.
