Our Friend Suzanne Rieger Douglas Needs Our Help

Happy 2023!! As many of you know, I attended Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, TX--a long time ago! Over the years so many people have told me how unusual it is that I am still friends and in touch with so many of my classmates. I do think this is special and a testament to our school, and maybe more specifically to the awesome Class of 1982.
Suzanne Rieger (Douglas) and I have been the best of friends since the 6th grade, even before high school. I was there when she met her husband, Kirk, (deceased since 2006), was in her wedding, and her kids call me Aunt Deanna. We got our first jobs at the same place (Central Park Fox Theater) and were roommates while in college at SWT (not Texas State, haha). When Kirk passed away her children were only 7 and 11 years old. She did not remarry and was the family's sole provider, raising her children and helping them deal with the trauma of losing their Father.
The last few years have been challenging for many of us, but possibly not as challenging as they have been for Suzanne. It's not easy to admit on Facebook that you need help, so I'm not going to go into detail except to say that she acknowledges that her current situation is due to both "life" and not always making the best decisions. I think we can all relate to that--at least I know I can. In fact, if I had the resources I used to have you wouldn't be reading this now.
Suzanne's life hasn't been easy but she always maintained a happy attitude and had a smile and a laugh for everyone. Never pretentious, never met a stranger. But sadly, the last couple of years have been "too much" and she succumbed to major depression and anxiety. She is struggling to find meaning in her life.
Suzanne is trying to dig herself out of this hole. She is desperately trying to find a job, but is finding it difficult with no vehicle and a suspended driver's license. And the one (1) work-from-home opportunity she secured, after applying for so many, ended up being a scam.
I am trying to help her find a job (and am open to any suggestions), but she really needs financial assistance in order to get a job as well as some peace of mind.
She has two (2) outstanding high dollar traffic tickets that need to be paid before she can renew her license. She is several months behind on her rent. And, again, no vehicle. Her belongings are in a pad-locked storage unit requiring more than $2000 in order to regain access.
Many of you have known Suzanne for about as long as I have and she needs our help. I know she will appreciate any amount you can spare and will thank each of your personally. Let's help her get her life back.
Thank you all so much and please share my story.
