- Hola, I am Bonnie Metzger, a 20-year friend of Marco Badalian, a talented and highly respected photographer and airbnb property designer/owner. He owned a fabulous Moroccan furnishings store in Sayulita and was a friend to many people. A spark from a fire in a nearby restaurant in Isla Holbox, in Mexico’s Quintana Roo, has destroyed everything he painstakingly built, along with the home of his recently deceased mother. valued art and possessions. His highly publicized Casa Impala rental has been destroyed by fire retardant. In addition, while trying to rescue his beloved dog, he suffered severe burns on his legs which will take a painful and lengthy recuperation.
