Our First Community Garden

Brighter Tomorrows INC is a registered non profit with a focus on improving communities through community gardening, mentorship, and revitalizing neighborhoods in Detroit.
In order for a "neighborhood" to properly function we feel like the area must be self sustainable and a huge part of that is a way to feed yourself. These garden will be a place where residents can find healthy, fresh produce and learn more about gardening as well.
We acquired our first of many vacant lots on June 5th and now it is time to get to work. We have to clean the yard, till the land, fence the lot, buy and plant seeds, and everything in between to bring this garden to life.
Our goal of $10,000 includes all the supplies needed to make this happen. Your donations along with the help of the community will turn this dream into a reality. Be sure to like our Facebook page and follow our journey as this vacant lot completely transforms.
We would like to have this goal accomplished by August 1st. This will ensure that everything will be completed and we can have our first harvest this fall. Exciting right :)!
