Our family in Gambia needs support

Hi!

My name is Åsa Edholm and I started this fundraising together with my husband Lamin Jadama to help our family in Gambia in the best way we can.

My husband comes from a very poor background and wants to take every opportunity he can to make life better for his family. And I´m with him all the way.

The family we are focusing on in Gambia is mainly women that lost their husbands and children suffering from being poor. We have put Fatou Jadama in the picture togther with some of her children. She has 6 children and just lost her husband to cancer. But there are many many more from Lamins family who needs help and we can not handle it alone.

The first goal we set up is 150 000 SEK and this will cover for the following:

-A years rent for one house for one family of 7

-Food for 12 months for 10 people

-English school including school fees, school uniforms, books, pens, food in school, transport when needed for 10 children. This will help the children to get a better future.

-If any money left we will use this money to help a collective of women who are growing vegetables etc. in a big field in Lamin's village. With this we will water system installed so they don´t need to carry hundreds of litres of water daily

We will make sure that the money we collect will be distributed to the right peolpe and to be used as we say. We will keep you updated. We are very grateful for all the help we recieve.
