Our daughter Saphira came early and needs help
Donation protected
Update: We just hit 60 days in the NICU, which is probably one of the most stressful and horrible experiences a parent can go through short of losing a child. Saphira has had so many challenges since birth but continues to fight and benefits from everyone's love and support. She just had 4 surgeries yesterday 4/10 to put in a trach, a g-tube, a central line, and an ostomy. We are told if everything goes well without any infections or complications, most people can go home in 6-8 weeks of this. We thank everyone for all of the support which comes in a lot of forms: well wishes, thoughts and prayers, donations, offers to help in any way, even not overwhelming us by asking us too much is a form of support by knowing we are already having a hard time keeping up. It is all very appreciated and eventually we will find a way to thank everyone for everything when things calm down.
Hi, My name is Tyler and my wife Katie gave birth to our beautiful daughter Saphira on 2/9/23 which was 5 weeks before we were expecting. We did fertility for 4 years and this was the culmination of our journey. We have been in the NICU for 3 weeks today, which I wouldn't wish on anyone, and she is currently in surgery that we were hoping would have been over 2 to 3 hours ago. She probably won't be coming home for another 3 to 6 weeks and that is if everything goes well. We have a lot of people who want to send flowers/cards/balloons/food ect, but what would really be helpful is just taking any of that help and putting it into gas money/food money/medical bills and not working money while we try to help our daughter hopefully get better. We aren't the kind of people who ever ask anyone for help, so please no one feel obligated, but if you wanted to do something, this would be the way to help us help her while she is trying to get better. Thank you
