Our Dad Paul Fishenden

Hello, in October 2025 we lost our dad to Oesophageal Cancer. He bravely fought against it for 14 months before it became too much for him. Like so many families up and down the country and all around the world it has left a very big hole in ours. To see someone you love so much disappear in front of you and you have no control over it is unbearable.
We want to try and turn my hurt into something positive so we have decided to run the Big Half Marathon in September 2026 for Cancer Research. Bearing in mind the furthest Nick has ever run is a 5k years ago this will be some challenge for him but he enlisted one of my best friends who also has probably run around the world and hopefully they will have dad pushing us along. We know money is tight and everyone is asking for handouts nowadays but anything you can give will hopefully one day stop people dying in this terrible way. Thankyou. Here comes 9 months of training!
Thanks Nick & Kayleigh
