Our Choice For Bath
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Colin Blackburn, Independent B&NES Councillor for Westmoreland Ward. I have worked alongside fellow Independent, Cllr June Player and been elected 3 times by residents to represent them.
After talking with many friends, colleagues and city residents over the last few days, I feel there is a genuine need to give the residents of Bath a real choice on the local outcome in the upcoming General Election on 4th July. Our bridge to Westminster, to represent our needs and the future prosperity of the city is sadly lacking. I started work here 40 years ago on Union Street, I've worked nationally and internationally but always felt most at home in Bath. A lot has changed in those years but the one clear thing to me, is our need to evolve and all be involved.
I need your help to make this happen and have created this opportunity for anyone to donate to fund the resources needed to spread the word. I would like to make sure a single leaflet is provided through every door of registered voters and produce window posters, so that people can show their support, as they have kindly done over the last 9 years that I have represented residents of our great city.
If you believe that a difference that can be made, without party politics, please donate any amount you are able. This will help to make the next few weeks a positive chance to give residents Our Choice For Bath.
Any amount below £500 can be made anonymously under election rules. I will provide a full declaration of all expenditure, as required by the rules, and any funds remaining after 4th July, will be donated to local charities.
I really appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to speak for the residents of our great city.
