Our Cambodia campaign– Sue & Daryl hope to go once last time

Donation protected
Hi, this is Sue and Daryl, fundraising for one last visit to Cambodia.

Since our first visit in 2013, with help from all our wonderful supporters, we are proud to have funded many life enhancing projects, mostly in 3 rural villages and Kolap 4 Government orphanage in Phnom Penh - from 51 toilets, 138 gutters, numerous hut repairs, income producing projects, medical treatments, school uniforms, books, resources . . . and the list goes on . . . with our most rewarding endeavour being the ongoing sponsorship of 56 - 3 families, 2 young men living with disability and 51 students.

Of the 51, 4 are married (2 to each other), 19 have completed school and are working, 21 are still currently at school, both Khmer and English schools, 9 are studying at tertiary level and two have graduated - all with better futures than they might have had.

For 7 years, we spent 6 months of each year there. Since Daryl's health issues in '20 - '23 we have continued our support from home till we finally returned last year for a short visit with the help from one daughter and 3 grandchildren, and this year we plan to go again, with support from another daughter. We hope very much to fulfil some more worthwhile requests, to catch up one last time in person with all our wonderful kids and friends, to hear them call us Mama and Papa one more time, to tell them how proud we are of them, how much we love them, and wish them well in their future lives.

Then, while we are alive, we will still support from afar, as we believe "No-one can help everyone, but everyone can help someone," and we have chosen to help there. (We were a bit sad in that cover photo, taken as we said goodbye to some of our sponsored students last year xx)

As always, we will continue to cover all our own expenses and 100% of any donation received will go towards projects like our contribution towards the ongoing tertiary tuition costs, schoolbooks and resources requested for the school we support on Koh Rumdual, possibly a new grass cutter, and underwear for many grateful girls! We are still receiving and prioritising requests and will advise everyone of how their funds were used and who benefitted, as I have done every year for the past 12 years, with our sincere thanks.
