Our beloved Principal Wang is retiring...

Dear past and present Broadway families,

We are celebrating the lifetime achievement of our wonderful Principal Wang and congratulating her on a well-deserved retirement!

Principal Wang has been our rock, the leader of our community for over a decade. Most of us knew her name long before our kids entered Kindergarten. Without her, there would not have been Mandarin Immersion in West LA, or our beautiful multicultural dual language immersion programs as they stand today. Anyone who knows Broadway knows that she has poured her life, heart and soul into building our school.

If you ever email her excessively as we do, you will know that she is the only Principal responding to parent and work emails at all hours of the night. Her dedication to our children is simply unparalleled.

Even though we are all so saddened by the news of her departure, we understand that she must be with her family at this time. Let's honor her and show her how we feel by sending her off with the best retirement possible!

We will be presenting this gift and a photobook by Lily Liu Chan at her retirement potluck party on June 4th, 10-1 pm. More information to come and we hope you can all join us!
