On Friday, 10 July, our beautiful 17-year-old daughter and niece, Mayah, was involved in a devastating car accident. She was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with life-threatening head injuries and remains in an induced coma in the Intensive Care Unit, where she is fighting for her life.

This has turned our family's world upside down. Since the accident, Mayah's mum, Ange, and her partner, Paul, have remained by her bedside every moment they can, supporting her through this unimaginable journey.

As they stay close to Mayah, they are unable to work and are facing ongoing expenses, including accommodation, travel, meals, and everyday living costs while being away from home. The road ahead is uncertain, and their only focus right now is being there for Mayah.
