Our beautiful friend Pamela Orr (Campbell)

My name is Laura Caldwell . As most of you will be aware our beautiful friend Pamela was diagnosed with stage 3+ cervical cancer end of last year. She started gruelling treatment in January that really took it out of her . She attended the beatson everyday to receive her treatment . It left our beautiful friend suffering from terrible side affects but continued to smile stay positive and just be the lovely lady we know. During this awful time she still continues to help others and be there for them as she always does . Thankfully the treatment worked and there was no evidence of disease

pamela was then dealt a second blow after attending a pep scan and they discovered cancer in her thyroid . Again this beautiful lady remained positive and determined to fight this . I personally don’t know how she does it .

she had her thyroid removed in monklands hospital this week . She has been left with quite a large scar . But again she smiles and soldiers on through .

As I’m sure you will all agree Pamela is one of the most beautiful ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing . Her life has been turned upside not being able to work all the travelling and everything else that goes with it her husband being by her side constantly. We all know how difficult things are for everyone at the minute due to the cost of living crisis . What I’m trying to do is try and raise some money for this beautiful lady to ease the pressure and let her just concentrate on beating this awful disease and getting back to full health . Pamela has no idea I’m doing this as she would answer I’m absolutely fine lovely don’t worry about me . But I’ve asked for her beautiful girls permission.

We know what Pamela would do if it was a friend sick or in need she would be the first person there to help and support as she always is . She has been there for me always and I’m trying to do something in return.

Im asking all you lovely people no matter how big or small please dig deep and let’s try and ease one worry and let Pamela just concentrate on getting better and beating this awful disease .
