Help A Family of 6 from Gaza Evacuate and Survive

Asalam Alaikum and Hello,

 

My name is Suaad Hamam, I reside in Canada and I am holding a fundraiser to help my aunt and her family escape the dire situation in Gaza. Please help save the lives of this innocent family that is facing a very high risk of death, starvation, cold, and disease.

 

Our aunt Hadeel and her husband Omar Abu Jahal, along with their four children Zaina (8 y/o), Malak (7 y/o), Celine (4 y/o) and Hassan (17 y/o), and her mother in law Mazeen Ehsan Alhindi, have been displaced many times, and after being forced to the most southern part of Gaza, Rafah, under the impression that it would be a safe zone, it has been proven to them that there is now no safe area in Gaza. These children are currently under heavy bombardment.  

 

Food is incredibly scarce, and the kids are growing increasingly malnourished. They are surviving on only a very limited amount of poor-quality food, which led to digestion problems in the whole family. The youngest daughter, Celine, at only four years old, contracted parasites in her stomach and has been in desperate pain, with no medical help or medication readily available. She keeps her parents up all night in agony. Clean water is also almost nonexistent, another cause for disease.

 

In their quest to flee from place to place down south to escape the danger, they were exposed to unsanitary conditions. Putting aside having to wait hours to use the washroom, resources are scarce, so their opportunities to shower are very few, leading to the girls developing painful and itchy lice in their hair. The showers are also very dirty, with the little girls having to shower on top of a toilet.

 

The conditions of the accommodations this family has been through, including tents, are also extremely overcrowded, cold, and unlivable. Celine was found one night suffocating as her older brother was on top of her due to limited space for sleeping.

 

Everything that they once knew and loved is completely gone. All their belongings, toys, schools, and livelihoods were destroyed by relentless Israeli airstrikes. Living in an active war zone has put this family in a great deal of terror and near-death experiences. The kids have missed out on so much, including over four months of school, which is highly unlikely to resume in the near to distant future.

 

The kids loved nothing more than going to the beach, walking around the mall, playing with their friends, and roaming the lively streets of Gaza. Unfortunately, they are now traumatized beyond repair. The things they have seen and the loss they have suffered will forever taunt their innocent minds. They are suffering from night terrors and severe psychological damage.

 

We desperately call upon anyone reading this message to help us get this innocent and deserving family out of Rafah and to safety, especially before a potential ground invasion.
