Gratitude from OTA: Your Support Funds Critical Projects in Tamil Eelam
Thanks again to all the donors for your generosity!
The OTA Fall Donation Campaign (11th annual) has concluded, supporting humanitarian projects through TEHAF under the Federation of Global Tamil Organizations (FGTO). The campaign, titled “OTTAWA TAMIL ASSOCIATION 11th FALL DONATION 2025,” raised $1,750. The proceeds have been directed to TEHAF for Tamil Eelam humanitarian assistance, continuing the tradition of funding critical community projects.
The following two humanitarian projects have each received $1,000.00 so far:
- Aram USA – Emergency Relief and Recovery assistance for Malayaka Students.
- Ilavalai Varuthapadatha Valipar Sangam – Education Support for Eastern Province students affected by flooding.

ஒட்டாவா தமிழ் ஒன்றியம் பதினோராவது வருட இலையுதிர் கால நிதி திரட்டல். ஈழத்தில் தமிழர்களுக்கு எதிரான சிறிலங்காவின் தமிழின அழிப்பினால் தமிழர்கள் தொடர்ந்தும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட வண்ணம் உள்ளனர். ஒட்டாவா தமிழ் ஒன்றியம் வருடம்தோறும் உங்களின் ஆதரவுடன் நிதி பங்களிப்பை மனிதநேய பணிக்கு வழங்குவது வழமை. கடந்த கால ஒட்டாவா தமிழ் ஒன்றியத்தின் மனிதநேய செயல்பாடுகளை பின்வரும் இணையத்தில் காணலாம்.

2024 வருடம் தொடக்கம் TEHAF இற்கு ஒட்டாவா தமிழ் ஒன்றியதால் நிதி பங்களிப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. நீண்ட கால நோக்குடன் பல தமிழ் அமைப்புகளின் உலகளாவிய அளவில் பொது கொள்கையுடன் கூட்டு முயட்சியாக FGTO இருக்கிறது. தமிழீழத்திற்கான பல மனித நேய பணிகளை ஏற்கனவே மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்ற அமைப்புகளுக்கு வலு சேர்ப்பதாக இந்த TEHAF நிதியம் அமைகிறது. இது வரை ஐந்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட மனிதநேய செயல்பாடுகள் பயனாளிகளாக உள்ளனர். மேலதிக விபரங்கள் https://fgto.org/tehaf/
It's the Ottawa Tamil Association 's (OTA) eleventh annual fundraising for Eelam Tamils. In Tamil Eelam, many were affected by Sri Lanka’s genocide against the Tamils and still going through severe hardship. Every year, OTA 's Fall Fundraising supports important humanitarian projects. For this year 2026, OTA 's Fall Fundraising proceeds will be provided to TEHAF(Tamil Eelam Humanitarian Assistance Fund) overseen by the Federation of Global Tamil Organizations (FGTO ). The following link provides additional details about this fund.
Cheques written to "Ottawa Tamil Association" with comments as "Fall Fundraising" will be accepted for the donation. Please note that the donations are not eligible for Canadian tax deductions. Cash donations are not acceptable. Donations will be accepted until January 2026. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
