Oscar’s Kenya Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Oscar and I am fundraising for the opportunity of a lifetime to go with others from my school to Kenya with Camps international .
During this 4 week trip I will get involved in projects that will directly benefit the communities we are staying in. The expedition provides a unique opportunity to explore new cultures, experience different ways of life and make a difference to people who are less fortunate than I am.
Some of the things that we will do include…
- working alongside the local community by putting up elephant deterrent fences to stop the elephants being injured on the farms
- making sustainable paper out of elephant dung to provide a source of income to the community
- undertaking a major project to work alongside locally employed craftsmen helping to renovate or build a house for a member of the community
My parents are paying for 75% of the trip while I try and save/fundraise to pay for the remainder, putting any birthday or Christmas money towards the trip, so any donations would be much appreciated.
