Orthopaedic Associates Staff to Bring Healing to Guatemala

Dr. Douglas Lowery, MD, a highly respected local surgeon specializing in joint replacements and sports medicine, along with his dedicated team, is embarking on an inspiring journey from June 7-14, 2025. They will travel to Central America to provide life-changing orthopedic surgeries to individuals who lack access to proper healthcare. With the support of the community, they hope to bring hope and healing to Guatemala.

To make this mission trip a reality, the team is seeking support from the Evansville community. While Dr. Lowery and his team are generously donating their time, resources, and comfort to participate, the trip still involves significant financial costs. Orthopaedic Associates is covering part of the expenses, but the team is aiming to raise $10,000 to cover additional costs. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting the mission, including travel, housing for the team, patient transportation, medical supplies, and other essential needs to ensure the delivery of top-notch care to those in need.
