Hi my name is Alex and I am the Coordinator of the Alex Turya Orphanage Foundation in Uganda, Africa. We are a fully licensed and registered organization that is currently looking after 58 orphans who have lost their parents, struggle with medical help, have no housing, no schooling and generally have lost their way in life.

We support our young people by providing safe accommodation and food. We are wanting to expand our program so that we can provide educational opportunities, opportunities for more comfortable accommodation (currently all our orphans sleep on mats on the floor as we have no mattress) and comprehensive health care which is at a high cost in Uganda.

Uganda has some of the highest rates of youth homelessness in the world and due to a large number of parents passing away and no other family members for young people to connect with they end up on the streets looking for food and money to survive.

Some of our orphans are babies only 1 year of age and the oldest we are currently looking after is 13.

All of our orphans have hopes, dreams and goals but as life deals them with some challenging cards the light that once existed inside them slowly gets extinguished.

We need your help to make that spark bright again!

We are raising money to find alternative and better accommodation, pay school fees, uniforms and clothing, food and comprehensive health care.

We will continue to monitor our go fund me and show you the donator what we are spending the money on and how it is really helping our kids.
