Assalamu alaikum
After living here in Morocco for 4 years I have travelled to many cities and seen Orphans and Orphanages and I'm never happy with what I see.
I'm trying to raise money to be able to cover the cost of the Moroccan adoption process and convert a part of my house into an 'Orphanage' for those babies.
I have gone into more detail with the life of orphans in morocco and my goal on my blog
For a basic break down of things, my goal is to adopt according to the Moroccan adoption which is a legal guardianship of an orphan ( kifala) then complete the term of breastfeeding so that baby becomes a mahram to my family and there is no difference between them and my own children.
Medically it has been proven that when a baby is abandoned by their mother and not nurtured and loved they suffer severe mental consequences due to that. I hope to be able to make a change and provide a loving family home environment for as many baby orphans as I can manage inshaAllah.
I hope to be able to afford to start with 2 babies which means I must cover the cost of paperwork, court proceedings and a 'donation' to the orphanage.
I will have to cover medical assessments for them and also have the space set out for them. on my application I will be applying for the permission to adopt more children at a later date.
The Long term Vision
I will be applying to be granted permission to receive babies who have been abandoned on the streets which is a huge problem here in Morocco. Unfortunately many babies are being literally thrown into the bin.
I want to apply for the permission to be able to be a first responder and receive a baby, take them to the hospital and then keep them until placed in a foster home or adopted ( with me or another family) In order to do this I must prove I have the space, ability ( funds) and the help ( Dr Connections and nurse aid, which I have )
Please help me by sharing this campaign with your friends and family and help us make a change in the lives of these little babies that the world has forgotten.
