Hungry Orphan Children

Donation protected
Hi,  Thank you for paying attention to this story. Almost a year and a half ago, I found this little orphanage in Rosarito, Mexico. I live in Los Angeles, California. The story began when I told my son:  "  I have a feeling that there are some children who need me, I think God is directing me to go to Rosarito, Mexico. I have to go".  It was a three hour drive from Los Angeles to Rosarito, Mexico. With some research, I found three orphanages. The first one was a well established orphanage, with the ownership of properties by the beach, and the owners were collecting money to buy more properties. I said I did not come for this, they had lot of support from churches in San Diego and Los Angeles. I went to the second orphanage, same story, but I did not give up, I knew I had a reason to come. The third one, was on the top of the mountain, with all dirt roads and almost no street signs to follow. There were so many potholes on the road, that the cover screen below my car broke on the drive up.  When I finally got there, I went inside the house, I saw 11 children, having so-called "lunch". They each had a bowl of soup, two beans in each soup and no bread. They did not belong to any church to support them. Simply orphan children. When I was  young, my jersey number in soccer was always 11, my favorite number. I felt this was the place I was meant to find.

Then I found out everything about them. The house was given to them by a Mexican man, who lives in Los Angeles, but only until the time he retires. A nice Spanish Lady who lives in Los Angeles and her husband pay three ladies $150 a month each who work there and stay there with the children. The government gives them two kilos of beans, two kilos of rice, and two loaves of bread for the entire month. Now I think I have answered your questions. You can imagine their situation. When I asked the Ladies what they would do if I hadn't come there, they answered they were praying. And they added that their prayers got answered and God sent me to them. It was close to winter and was cold. Children had no jackets. There was no heater at all in the house. They had an empty refrigerator. I bought them a used freezer, put enough food for a month, bought them clothes they needed, toys to play with, and rented a mini bus and took them to McDonald's,  the beach, and into town. I have been doing it ever since every month, for a year and a half.  By the way, there are twenty children now, including two new born.

Every trip to them costs approximately $2,800. Around $4/day per child covers everything they need, including a month's worth of food, two big Gas tanks (they have no gas connected) and their other needs, such as soup, shampoo, etc. You name it, they need it. About $500 are my expenses (my hotel for three nights for $60 a night, food, Gas, and Mexican car Insurance), and the rest is for the kids.  When I bought them cereal for the first time, it was a luxury for them , since they had only seen it on TV.  I have been doing my best with my funds for a year and a half, but I need help so that I can continue to go every month and help these children.  They truly need it. That is why I decided to post here, and I will continue to do so every month.

Dear reader, I am a Christian, I believe in God, but I do not believe in churches who collect money in the name of God and do not fully help those in need, using that money for their own benefits. I have studied the Bible , and I summarized it in 67 pages, taking out all old stories about kings or fishermen, and just wrote the lessons of it. What I learned is that the real happiness is in giving. You can not imagine my happiness when I am with these children. Like other children, not only do they need food and clothing, they need love, attention, they need to go out. You have to see their happiness when I take them places, to a cheap restaurant, or a beach. I do not take a lot of pictures, not to embarrass them, but I will send a list of expenses and new pictures to each donor.  God Bless and enjoy your life, and enjoy all the  beautiful things that God created for us.  That is me in the pictures with my children.
