Hi, I’m TyJah Alexander, founder of Organically Pretty.

I didn’t grow up surrounded by softness. I grew up navigating dysfunction, instability, and survival. But even in that environment, God planted a vision in me-- a vision to one day create a safe space for brown-skin girls (of African descent) to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. A space for Black girls and women to reclaim our narrative and reshape our stereotypes, starting from within, first.

Organically Pretty began as a creative outlet rooted in affirming beauty and self-worth. Over time, it became something much deeper: a calling to interrupt cycles and build what many of us never had access to growing up. After caring for my mother through a stroke in 2022, that calling became undeniable in a season of isolation and stillness. God made it clear-- it was time to build the community I once needed.

Today, Organically Pretty is a faith-rooted nonprofit dedicated to the holistic development of Black girls and young women ages 12–23. Through school-based workshops, leadership and wellness programming, creative activations, and our growing college ambassador initiative, we focus on identity, confidence, discernment, and purpose.

We are currently raising funds to support direct youth programming, including:

These funds help us show up prepared, consistent, and equipped as we serve girls where they are-- in schools, community centers, and safe spaces.

Organically Pretty is actively building its nonprofit infrastructure, including 501(c)(3) documentation, to ensure long-term sustainability and transparency as we grow. We are also seeking funding to submit this application.
