Hi I am Paul Kilcourse and on Sunday 21st June 2026 I am undertaking a challenge with a difference to raise much needed funds for the Community First Responders and the Order of Malta (Castlebar), in memory of my dad.

My dad, Michael Kilcourse, passed away on fathers day 15th June 2025, doing what he loved, cycling. My dad's other passion in his life was golf, and he was a former Captain of Castlebar Golf Club

I plan to drive a ball off the first tee at each of the 10 golf clubs within Mayo, cycling between each club.

Starting at Carne Golf Club as the sunrises, I will drive a ball off the first tee, from there I cycle to the airstrip and catch a ride in a plane to Achill Golf Club, where I will again drive a ball from the first tee. Then hop back on my bike, and cycle to the next 8 golf courses during the day - Mulranny, Westport, Ballinrobe, Claremorris, Ballyhaunis, Swinford, Ballina and finishing at Castlebar Golf Club, driving the final ball of the day from their first tee.

By the end of the day, I will have cycled 256 kms in memory of my dad while raising funds for two incredible organisations that provide vital support within our community.
