Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit Fundraiser

After some technical difficulties involving the backroom team we are delighted to announce that we will be hopping on the Coldvember bandwagon with the aim of raising some funds for the Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit!

The volunteers at the Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit put in trojan work alongside other volunteer organisations to keep the waters of the Galway Bay Area safe whilst also aiding in the search of missing persons.

This year, as for many, has been especially challenging for the Unit as their annual fundraiser, being their principal source of income, had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Myself and the lads have been going about our business behind the scenes over the last few days and will continue to take on the cold Atlantic waters everyday for the remainder of November with the aim of raising awareness on water safety and raising funds for the volunteers at the Search Unit so they can continue to carry out their stellar work.

We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of many others who are taking on a variety of challenges this month to raise funds for many worthwhile causes. Be sure to check out their pages and support in whatever way you can!
