My name is Jim, and I’m creating this community fund not just out of personal need, but out of a calling God has placed on my heart — to help those who are hurting, overlooked, and struggling to survive right here in Northwest Arkansas.
I’ve always walked closely with God, but in this season, He has become my strength, my direction, and my daily provider. I believe with everything in me that God will see me through this storm, and I also believe He is using this moment to help me lift others up along the way.
My life changed suddenly when I discovered I was the victim of identity theft. Everything I had worked for was stolen from my bank account. Overnight, I went from stable to sleeping in my car. A family member opened their home to me for a few months, and I thank God for that blessing. But as of January 16th, 2025, I’m down to my last few days in a hotel — paid for only by the final funds from selling my home. I have ZERO income currently coming in.
Unless God makes a way through this fundraiser, I will be homeless again at the end of this month.
On top of that, I suffered a serious work injury that caused nerve damage and spinal stenosis. I can’t work the way I used to. I can only do light tasks like driving errands, and even that is painful. The employer, insurance company, and workers’ compensation system have mishandled my case and ignored the truth of my injury.
But even in all this, God has not left me.
He has been my comfort, my peace, and my hope.
Why I’m Creating This Fund?
This isn’t just about me trying to survive.
This is about answering God’s call to care for the people who are already suffering on the streets — people who haven’t eaten in days, people with no socks, no jackets, no hygiene supplies, no warmth, no hope.
I want this fund to do both:
1. Help me stay housed and stable
So I can:
- Keep a $50/night room
- Cover basic obligations (car insurance, storage, child support, food.
- Stay safe, warm, and able to work when I can
- Continue healing from my injury
My goal is to earn at least $75/day doing light work, but until my body recovers, I can’t meet that consistently.
2. Help others God places in my path
Your support will also allow me to bless others with:
- Hot meals
- Socks, gloves, and warm clothing
- Hygiene kits
- Emergency motel nights during freezing weather
- Gas or transportation for families in crisis
I know what it feels like to lose everything.
I know what it feels like to sleep in a car.
know what it feels like to have no one to turn to — except God.
And because of that, I want to be a vessel of compassion for others who are hurting.
I’m trusting God for provision.
I’m trusting God for healing.
I’m trusting God to open doors that no man can shut.
I'm not looking for a handout.
It’s about asking for a hand up, so I can stay on my feet, rebuild my life, and continue helping others in His name.
If you feel led to give, know that your support will not only help me survive — it will help me serve.
Thank you for reading my story, for praying, for caring, and for believing in what God can do.
— Jim
