Opposition to Walton Co Jail in residential area

Many residents of Walton Co and the City of Monroe are opposed to the jail being built in a residential neighborhood at 1125 East Church Street. A core group of volunteers has stepped forward to investigate, strategize and organize to represent the community's opposition. As we move forward in this fight to stop the building of the jail in the proposed location we have expenses such as printing of signs, printed materials, advertising of community meetings, community out reach for volunteers and potential legal expenses The funds from this fundraiser will be used to help with these expenses.
